July 4th TidbitsA few interesting facts about July 4. Some you’ve heard about and some I bet you haven’t!

* It’s the 185th day of this year. And its 180 days until 2015!

* John Adams and Thomas Jefferson were the only signers of the Declaration of Independence that became Presidents of the United States.

* And…John Adams and Thomas Jefferson both died on the SAME day, JULY 4, 1826! Another president, James Monroe, also died on JULY 4, but in 1831.

* Calvin Coolage, the 30th President of the United States, was born on JULY 4, 1872!

* JULY 4th holiday week is typically one of the busiest travel times of the year in America!

*JULY 4th is a federal holiday so don’t plan on any mail or on any visits to a federal building or court house!

* The countries of Philippines and Rwanda also celebrate JULY 4 for their individual independences!

*It’s the 42 year for the Nathan’s Hotdog Eating Contest in Brooklyn, NY! That’s alot of hotdogs!

*Wimbledon Tennis Tournement always seems to have their final weekend of play around this holiday weekend.
